Baked Crispy Chana Dal Chaat-The Beloved Snacks Recipe
This recipe is a fusion between the two Indian cities that are Mumbai and Kolkata.

- Dry Chana Dal-one cup
- oil-two tsp
- Powder of red chilli-one tsp
- salt-one tsp
- Properly sliced onions
- Crispy puffed rice-two cups
- large, deseeded & properly sliced tomato-one
- Medium cucumber, peeled & properly sliced-one
- lime Juice-two
- chaat masala-one tsp
- Properly sliced-green chillies-two to three
- Properly sliced coriander leaves
- Oil of mustard -two tbsps
- Roasted peanuts-two to three tbsps
METHODS TO PREPARE CHANA DAL CHAAT:
- Wash the chana dal & soak it in water for like one hr.
- Drain the soaked Chana Dal & put in a bowl with sufficient water for covering the dal. Put it for boiling.
- When the water starts boiling, let it simmering for one min. Detach from flame instantly & drain the chana dal completely. Wash it with cold water to pause the process of cooking. At this time the dal must be only little cooked but keeping its shape proper.
- Spread it on a clean absorbent cloth piece for like ten-fifteen mins.
- In Meantime, preheat the oven at two hundred degrees Celsius.
- Line a baking dish with foil’s two layers.
- Toss the dried chana dal in two tsp oil with red chilli powder & salt. Spread in one layer on the made baking dish.
- Bake for forty to fifty mins at two hundreds degrees seeing at each fifteen mins & providing a shake to it.
- At last the chana dal would be crispy. It would convert crisper when you let it to be cool. Put it beside.
- For baked crispy moong dal, soak it for thirty mins & ignore the cooking phase. Baking duration would also be lowered to thirty mins or so at 190 c.
- In a big vessel, combine every components for the chaat, including crispy chana dal, and keep beside a few coriander & chana dal to decorate.
- Distribute the Chana Dal Chaat instantly with lime wedges.
