Paneer Cutlets: A Must Try Recipe 

This is one of the paneer recipes which is loved by people of all ages. There are many types of cutlets which are made using potatoes, raw banana, green peas etc. But using cottage cheese (Paneer) to make cutlets is such a delicious add-on to the recipe which is unforgettable. Boiled mashed potatoes added with the grated paneer along with some Indian spices and bread slices, deep-fried in oil brings out the crispiness and crunchiness to the recipe. Also, these paneer cutlets are so easy to make and take less than 50 minutes to prepare. 

Ingredients Required to make Paneer Cutlets
  • Potatoes ( Boiled and Mashed) - 1 Cup
  • Paneer (Grated) - 1 Cup
  • Coriander Leaves (Finely Chopped) - 2 Tbsp
  • Green Chillies (Finely Chopped) - 4 to 6
  • Onions (Chopped) - ½ Cup
  • Cabbage (Finely Chopped) - 1 Cup
  • Bread Slices - 3
  • Salt - As Per Taste
Extra ingredients
  • Maida (Plain Flour) - 1 Cup
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Oil - Deep Frying
The Process of making Paneer Cutlets

1) In a flat bowl, add some water. Then soak the bread slices for around 2 minutes. After, squeeze out the water.

2) In another bowl, add ingredients like Paneer, potatoes, chillies, coriander, cabbage, onions, bread slices and salt. Mix all of them well.

3) Divide the mixture into 4 portions. Then shape them into a round ball and then press lightly using palms.

4) Take maida flour in a bowl and add 1 cup of water, mix them well and make a smooth batter. 

5) Drop the cutlets into the maida batter.

6) Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add coated cutlets into the oil. Deep fry them until they turn golden brown. 

7) Once done, remove them and put on an absorbent paper and keep them aside.

8) Grill them using electric barbeque or charcoal before serving.

9) Your Paneer Cutlets are ready. Serve them immediately with green Chutney and tomato ketchup.
