Ingredients for Bread Gulab Jamun:
- 8 slices - Bread
- 1 cup - Milk
- 1/2 cup - Sugar
- 1/2 tsp powder - Cardamom 3 pods crushed or use
- 1 cup - Water
- 2 tsp - Cashewnuts & almond chopped
- Oil for frying the Jamuns
How to prepare Bread Gulab Jamun:
1. Take the bread pieces & trim off the edges of bread pieces.
2. Dip them in the milk, squeeze off the extra milk & place it into a blender.
3. Pulse it for few seconds & grind it to a soft & lump-free paste.
4. Then prepare tiny balls out of it.
5. Heat oil into a deep frying vessel.
6. Simmer the flame & drop the balls & fry them in the low flame until it becomes golden. Also, make sure that you do not over-fry it or else it won’t absorb the syrup.
7. Detach this to a paper towel & put beside.
8. To prepare the sugar Syrup, pour the water in a vessel. Include cardamom, sugar & bring it for the boil.
9. Boil it till it reaches the sticky stage & the Syrup thickens that would take around five minutes or little more.
10. Then add the fried Jamuns in the hot syrup & close it.
11. Allow it to rest for at least one to two hrs before serving.
12. Garnish with sliced cashew nuts & almond & serve as it is or with a dollop of ice cream.
Note:
Please squeeze off the milk thoroughly before pulsing or else you have a gooey paste.
